• Find the file CheckUpdtVm
• Double-click the file and change the default value in the Value data box from 10 to 0
• Click OK to save.

Method 3: Fix Fake Serial number with the host file

Step 1: Go to My Computer , select drive C: \ and look for the host file under the path:

C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc

Step 2: Open this file in Notepad , then copy the following paragraph to the bottom at the end, and Save again.

 

Method 4: Edit in IDMGrHlp file

Step 1: Also in the Internet Download Manager installation directory, select the IDMGrHlp file , then right-click Properties .

Step 2: In the next window, you do the following:

• Select the Security tab
• In the Group or user names section , click on User ( Username \ Users)
• Click on Edit

Step 3: In the interface of Permissions for IDMGrHlp , look at the section Permissions for ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES , in the Deny column , select the first box Full control , then Apply and OK to complete.
