Turn off Windows 10 Update on Windows 10 system Settings
- Step 1: Right-click on the PC icon in the left corner and then click Manage:
- Step 2: You pay attention to the column on the left, then check the box for Service and Applications. Then you select the box Service.
- Step 3: After you stick on the Service button, this panel will appear and your job is to pull down and select Windows Update.
- Step 4: Check Windows Update, choose Startup Type, click Stop and then select Disabled. Then click OK.
After you click Disable, Windows Automatic Update is disabled. If you want to enable the update again, just reverse the value in Startup Type.
Turn off Windows 10 Update using Group Policy Editor available in the system
- Step 1: To open Group Policy Editor, press Windows key + R to open the Run command window. After that, enter the text "gpedit.msc" and press Enter.
- Step 2: After the window showing Group Policy Editor, you do the following steps: Computer Configuration => Administrative Templates => Windows Components => Windows Update.
- You click the cursor to select Configure Automatic Update, double-click on it and select “Disabled, then proceed to save it.
