User interface
Windows Phone has a user interface that Microsoft calls it "Metro". The main screen, called "Start Screen", is composed of "Live Tiles". These Tiles link to applications, features, functions and other things (such as contact names, bookmarks, music files, ...). Users can add, sort or delete Tiles, but it doesn't mean removing the app from the device.
Windows Phone pros and cons
Advantages:
+ The interface of the phone is almost like on the computer to help users feel familiar and easy to use.
+ Ability to synchronize contacts, emails well.
+ Here Maps is available quite well for users, maps can be viewed offline.
+ Support NFC, 4G LTE (but not yet used in Vietnam).
+ SkyDrive cloud storage integrated.
+ Windows Phone devices often have the function of taking beautiful pictures.
+ Good battery, strong waves.
Defect:
+ Live Tiles interface, new to use, feels familiar, quite beautiful, but later on, it will be very boring. Windows Phone does not allow interfaces, themes (themes), can not install Laucher. So using WP8 you accept to live a "lifetime" with those Live Tiles.
+ The application store is quite poor, free apps are very few.
+ Until now Windows Phone can not JailBreak yet.
+ Some features still make users uncomfortable such as lock screen rotation, the volume of all applications such as music, calls, messages ... is always the same, the phone does not have both ring and vibrate mode ...
+ Can not change DNS (or IP) to access some blocked websites.
Which products are currently running the Windows Phone operating system?
The market share of smartphones running Windows Phone appears to be "modest", ranking third after iOS and Android in the smartphone market. Hope the future will increase.
