- Note that this feature is only available on devices running iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 or later.
- Open the Photos app , go to Albums .
- Select the album for which you want to change the cover photo.
- Select the photo you want as your new cover photo. Click and hold on the photo until a menu appears. Select Make Key Photo . That photo became the album's new cover photo, replacing the old photo.
Touch and hold the photo you want to use as the album cover photo and select Make Key Photo
For iPhones and iPads running lower versions of iOS and iPadOS, you can still change the album cover art by rearranging your album content and replacing the first photo of the album.
- Go to the Photos application , open the album you want to change the cover photo.
- Tap Select in the upper right, then drag the photo you want to become the cover photo to the upper left corner so it becomes the first photo of the album.
